Logan, Class of 2017

This is my little brother, Logan. He's graduating this year. My head still can't make sense of this fact...

Part of me was breaking knowing I was taking his SENIOR photos and that this chapter of his life is coming to a close, but the other part of me was rejoicing for him, because this new chapter he will be beginning is going to be one of self discovery and new opportunity.

He is hands down one of the most talented, wonderful, kind, loving, and smart people I've ever known. He loves Jesus with follows him with reckless abandon to reach His people and lead them to the foot of the cross. He is simply a good, good man with a faithful heart. And honestly, I'm not just saying that because I'm his sister. You ask anyone that has ever known him and I can guarantee everyone would have the same wonderful things to say about him.

He's one of those people that leaves a little mark on your heart and inspires you to be a better version of you. He makes you want to achieve your goals because he battles and works so hard to reach his, and he succeeds. He makes you realize anything is possible if you put in the time and effort. He makes you want to be kind and speak life into people because when you see him do it, you see how people are changed and a new light emerges in them. He makes you want to smile more, because his smile makes something rise up in you and fills you with so much joy. He makes you want to enjoy every moment, because you see how fun and happy life is when you are enjoying things and laughing constantly instead of focusing on the negatives in the world. There is never a dull moment with him and he makes life fun. And most important, He makes you want to know Jesus. He shows you how good life is when you have a relationship with the Lord and how burdens do not fall on you alone, you have someone who has gone before you and prepared the way and has this life handled for you. That the road will not be easy and there will be suffering, but that you have a God who cares deeply and hears your heart and will walk every step with you. He will help you see that there is light in the darkness, that there is something bigger and more wonderful waiting for us and the invitation is there if you want to come. That one day the Kingdom of God will be our home and you can have a room prepared just for you. He is unashamed of his faith and this is the single most beautiful thing about him. He genuinely wants you to have the same joy that comes from the Lord and he will fight for you to realize that you can!

If you've never met this boy...this man...I pray that someday you run into him.  I pray your paths cross at a football game, at the grocery store, at a church, or on the street. You will leave changed and you will have had the opportunity to meet one of the most amazing men I've ever known.

I love you, Brother. Saying I'm proud of you seems so, I don't know...small. But, I know you, and you know me, and you know my heart and what I mean. You are covered in prayer as you embark on this new journey and you know where we live if you ever need a home cooked meal, a soft couch to relax on, or just a place to feel at-home. Dorms don't quite offer that same comfort. We also have clean bathrooms...communal bathrooms are gross and communal living is not luxurious. Fun...but not luxurious. We are here anytime you need an escape!

I love you.
