Willow & Pine
My name is Britain Paulk and I am a resident of Tomball, Texas and this is me to the left...wearing the dress...and the tattoos. That handsome fella to the left of me, that's my man. My better half. My loving husband. My foot rub buddy.
My life is busy and crazy and sometimes up looks like down and a messy bun is my hairstyle choice, but I wouldn't change a minute of it for the world. It is a blessing every day to do what I love and to practice the craft the Lord blessed me with in photography. Also, I get to drink coffee on my sofa while the sun and breeze burst through the windows while my kids play and I work. This is the life I always imagined...
I wear a lot of hats any given day, but the ones I am most proud of are Lover of Jesus, Wife, and Mama. If we dive into the every day life of Britain and what I love, I am a 31 year old woman in love with living life and savoring moments. My perfect evening is spent on the porch with my husband having sweet conversation while we sip wine and watch our little girls play together. I relish in days spent outside running and playing, visiting Farmer's Markets, wearing the sunshine on our shoulders, and enjoying the simplicity in a Saturday with no plans. I melt into nights on the couch with my husband while we laugh at our inside jokes, steal kisses, watch funny shows, give each other foot rubs, and dream about our future plans together. It's moments like these that I wish I could bottle up and carry with me forever. I never want to forget them, I never want them to end. I want to open that bottle and the fragrance of life wash over me and me be reminded of the joy that I have been given with these three.
This is my life. It is simple, and funny, and a little bit ridiculous and loud, and it is mine.
I know you, like me, want to capture life in a bottle, and while I may not be able to do that for you, I can bless your family with capturing it in photographs that I know you'll cherish for years and years and generations to come.
I am in love with documenting life. Not posing your family in strict stances with forced smiles, but really capturing the moments that make your life what it is. The real you. The real kids. The messy ones with the dirty feet and milk mustaches. The cut eyes and smirk as your significant other gives you a "good game" as they pass you in the kitchen. These are the moments that make up your life when you look back. This is where my heart is, just like yours! This is my passion and the Lord has given me an incredible opportunity in providing families with these moments and by giving me a talent to also capture my own family in this way. I am so thankful to him every.single.day for this gift. **And all of the things listed above!**
So, here I am, sipping coffee, blogging, editing, and watching my littlest attempt to eat a marker (lid is on), and I couldn't be happier. I'm living out my motto everyday... It can't get much better than this.
Live simply. Laugh a lot. Dream big. Be the church.
